• For the most part yes. Sony, LG, and Samsung use apps made by other companies that work on all 3 for the most part. Sony is now letting everyone else use thier 4k service as it was only for sonys at one time. Lg and Samsung may have apps that only work for thier tvs. Netflix, Hulu, crackle, and so many more all work on smart tvs
