A:Answer The black levels on the sony 850d are quite fantastic honestly, I mostly use mine in a dark room with gaming and movies and I haven't had any issues, obviously higher end models with a higher tier High Dynamic Range (HDR) will have better contrast and better black levels, but the 850d should be a vast improvement over the previous tv you mentioned.
