A:AnswerI use this TV with an antenna and antenna signal amplifier. This TV does have a built in converter. You simply take your co-ax cable output coming from your antenna/amplifier and screw it straight into the this TV's antenna input. HD picture is awesome (better than HD supplied by cable companies do to lack of picture compression distortion). I use a single antenna in my attic which goes immediately to an amplifier. That output runs to my basement where I split the signal into 4 separate rooms (only have two TVs at the moment) with a (near) lossless splitter. Tuner on this TV is very capable.
A:AnswerHi alleykat, they're almost the same. The main difference is the HDR feature. The X800D has HDR while X700D doesn't have this feature. Thanks! ^Ron
A:AnswerIf you mean like showtime or HBO that you get through cable as apps they are built in an the built in apps are great that we have tried. If there is some other kind of app you would probably be chromecasting through your tv or phone I would guess which also works very well for us too.
A:AnswerWe have cable channels from Spectrum that do broadcast in HD. Works baeutifully on this TV. I'm sure you need to have some form of HD broadcast in HD to receive HD clarity.
A:Answeri just bought a brand new Xbox one s (gears edition exactly) and this tv. I would not take the Xbox out until I got the the tv and it's freaking awsome!... HOWEVER!... keep in mind that Microsoft it self said that no video game is truly 4K the graphics are enhanced yes but because of the HDR HOWEVER!!! (Again) the one s is still a completely 4K capable system so streaming is again AWSOME!! hope this helps
