A:Answer No, that is not normal and not acceptable. That is a quality control issue, especially on a tv. Many allow returns for one dead pixel, regardless of size. The "all will have them" says more about the company and their knowledge of a defective product (and not wanting to support returns) than it does an INDUSTRY standard. That reply is almost a guarantee Sony tv's will have issues and that is a major concern. Do not keep it, too much money for issues like that. (Fyi, on my 3rd replacement, none for dead pixels but constant panel defects thus far but I am checking the 3rd over and if it has a dead/stuck pixel I am refusing delivery and will demand my money back from corporate. Fyi, after 30 days they only send recertified with a 2 year warranty and the BB extended warranty has to go through Sony warranty while it is within a year so do not bother buying that. Just work with Sony direct.
