From my understanding you can't connect speakers to the 930C other than the Sony wireless subwoofer. Sony makes a wireless subwoofer that mates perfectly with the 930C.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could add a sound bar, but generally this would degrade the output. Although we have not seen or heard it, Sony makes a subwoofer that works with the sets speakers. If you want better sound, you would need an amplifier which supports surround. If that is what you wish, then you should buy a model which does not have the side speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a soundbar and the speakers were much better on the tv. It sounds great. Only issue is you can only sync one subwoofer to the tv and said subwoofer is basically discontinued. No one sells it unless its used. And most dont include the transciever. If you can get your hands on it though it sounds fantastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have mine wired to a separate sound system with no problem. There is a setting in the TV settings that says TV speakers or External. I believe a sound bar would restrict the TV speakers. My experience the speakers on this TV are way above in sound quality and unless you use a very good sound bar, you might be wasting your money. I only use my Separate system when I crank up a good action DVD.
