• I wouldn't! I have both and I think they are both beautiful TV's if you want brighter go with the Z9F which is a great TV as well!

• The A9F won't be much different than the A8F in terms of brightness. Sounds like you need to make some adjustments to your settings. If you are watching programming with Dolby Vision, be sure to use the Dolby Vision Bright setting.

• A9F has a superior processor to the A8F. Pictures arenot dark on it. I would go to a store and see it in action. Also check your settings for brightness and contrast on the A8F.
