Yes this is in regards to the sub, or in this case subs. It has two subwoofer outputs. As for ”powering" two subs surround sound receivers do not power the sub they send the audio signal to the sub which has it's own amp which is why you have to plug the subwoofer in to power. It will support two subs at the same time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can run two subwoofers from this receiver. I have two subs connected and the bass is POWERFUL.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you're absolutely right. The .2 is for two subwoofers. There are 2 subwoofer connections on the back. Of course, depending on the size, each subwoofer may require its own power supply, but the subwoofer definitely has outputs for 2 of them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The ".2" in "5.2" means you can have Two Subwoofers installed to this Sony Receiver. There are Two Subwoofer Output Jacks at the Rear of The Unit. Please be reminded that the Sound from Subwoofers are Omni-Directional (meaning no Right or Left Channel). The Choice to have two Subwoofers is just to cover more Square Footage of Listening Space.
