- Answer Save your money, this model has a defect in it's protection circuits and there are no instructions on how to use it properly and/or the finer points of set up.

QuestionAnthony from Sony Would Roku MHL model 3400/3420 work?Anthony from Sony, Roku makes a MHL model 3400/3420 HDMI stick for Sharp, TCL and JVC TVs that plug into their MHL port with no electric plug or UBB power required. Questionlaptop audioi have an older laptop that im hooking to an lg flatscreen thru the pc input on tv, but how do i hookup audio from laptop to this reciever. i know it has to come from earphones output on laptop and i have a converter cable from phone jack to RCA but not sure what input to use

- Answer Use the "DVD in" or "Sat/Cbl in" analog (RCA Audio) inputs. Then make sure to switch to analog for the sound source when selecting DVD or Sat/Cbl on the receiver.

QuestionHad a Sony DAV-HDX265 took a lightning hit. Will this unit plus a blue ray player work with my Sony speakers already wired in the walls?The Sony system we had worked and sounded great. My speakers are hard wired in the walls and would like to still use them . Like having all Sony so remotes are similar. Want to add a Blue Ray player.

- Answer I also tried to hook up a 10 inch sub woofer (Sony) and could not get it to operate. I spent over 2 hours with Sony's tech support and finally got the sub to work, but lost all control of bass and treble so I returned it to BB. I posted a review of this receiver on 4-6-18 that is more detailed.

QuestionHave a Samsung 5.1 HTIB speaker set with 3 ohm ratings. Can I add a 3 ohm resister to each speaker to reach the 6 ohms minimum and use this set? Specs: Front /Center/Surround - 3 Ω 200Hz ~ 20kHz 80W Subwoofer - 3 Ω 20kHz ~ 200Hz 100W (Passive)

- Answer I am using 4 Ohm speakers and it is working fine, a passive woofer will not work with this system. There are only 5 amplified channels and the two woofer channels are not included. You will better sound out of a amplified woofer anyway.

QuestionSynch Issue with Hisense TV. I have an optical connection between the TV and receiver. I have to turn off the TV to reset/correct lip synch. How can I solve this problem? For the receiver, I never could get the Easy Setup display on the TV... Thanks.

- Answer if your TV doesn't have a sync setting, the receiver does. TB must handle 480p to see receiver output on the screen, but you can use the front panel display for everything. Just play around with the remote and.you'll.figure.out the menus

- Answer Hi Owl, we only recommend using the antenna that comes with the receiver. We cannot guarantee if 3rd-party antennas will work with this receiver. QuestionI am replacing an old Sony theater that is a 5.1 my speakers are fine 5 with powered subwoofer.I think I can use them but looking at the back of this unit,it appears to have two subwoofer outlets,or am I seeing it wrong ? Does this require two of them

- Answer It does not require 2 subwoofers. I have 1 Harmon Kardon Sub hooked up to the right AV subwoofer jack of the receiver with LFE set on subwoofer and it works great!

- Answer Yes. It paired well with my Harmon Kardon speakers and will do so with your Bose speakers. Has enough power to drive 120W Harmon Kardon speakers and I'm sure it will be enough for yours.

- Answer The antenna is not built in. However, one is included and you need to plug it into the receiver and then place the antenna so it can receive the signal. This is true for both FM and AM.
