  • QuestionWhy is the Bravia 9 $1100 more than the Bravia 7? Doing a compare here on Best Buy's website, the specs for each seem almost identical. A few minor differences but where is the 1100 dollars worth?

    Asked by Dave.

    • Answer In taking a deep drive into these two TVs, the main differences I see are: - Better "angel viewing" for the Bravia 9 (they are about equal at "center viewing"), - Slightly better blacks & contrast (but once you have the Bravia 7 in your home you will not be able to tell/remember the difference since the Bravia 7 has such a great picture), - Slightly better sound/speakers in the Bravia 9, if not using your own surround sound system (I use my own surround sound system which brings sound to the best level), - A backlit remote for the Bravia 9 (nice to have), - Perhaps a few extra for "gamers", which I am not I am sure there are a few other small value extras that majority of the people won't use. I would assign a dollar value difference between the Bravia 7 & Bravia 9 at no more than $300 - $400 (an amount that I would be willing to pay for the Bravia 9 over the Bravia 7). But at $1,100 or more in differences (depending on the screen size you are considering), the Bravia 7 wins that completion every time. BTW - I have heard some criticisms about the Bravia 9 that some people find it harder to adjust their picture settings to get to an optimal picture quality for most programing they watch. While the Bravia 7 out-of-the-box settings are pretty much plug & play.

  • QuestionIs this a decontented version of the Bravia 9? On the specifications page it just shows "digital" for the tuner? Other sites like Value Electronics specifically state in their listing that their models have a built in ATSC 3.0 tuner.

  • QuestionDoes this tv have burn in issues?

    Asked by Jeff.

    • Answer Hi Jeff! Thank you for reaching out to us. The BRAVIA 9 is equipped with a Mini LED panel, significantly reducing the likelihood of burn-in issues common to OLED displays. This is due to the different technology used in their construction. You can enjoy your viewing experience without any concerns about image retention! Thanks for your interest on Sony headphones! • QuestionCan this model be transported laying in the back of a pickup truck?

    Asked by SadSam.

    • Answer Thank you for contacting Sony, SadSam. To ensure your BRAVIA 9 stays in perfect condition, we strongly recommend transporting it in an upright (vertical) position. Large TV panels, especially a 75" screen, are designed to support their own weight while standing; laying them flat in a pickup truck can put excessive pressure on the center of the glass, which may lead to cracking or internal damage from road vibrations. • QuestionDoes this model have a Picture in Picture option

    Asked by PIP.

    • Answer Thank you for contacting Sony. Unfortunately, Picture-in-Picture functionality is not supported on this model or any current Sony TV. This feature is not currently included within the operating system for our latest BRAVIA models. However, we do offer a unique, specialized Multiview feature that you may find useful: When a console is connected and the TV is set to game mode, the TV allows you to run your game on one side of the screen while displaying a YouTube video or stream on the other side. • QuestionCan this TV act as the central speaker channel when using a Yamaha receiver, Outlaw amp, and Polk in-wall speakers? I currently have the audio gear listed here (the Yamaha, Outlaw, and in-wall Polks) and was hoping the TV could connect to the Yamaha.

    Asked by Alana.

    • Answer Hello Alana, Thank you for considering Sony products! We appreciate your inquiry and are happy to assist you. The feature that allows the K75XR90 TV to act as the central speaker channel—such as Acoustic Center Sync or S-Center speaker input—is designed exclusively for use with compatible Sony products. This functionality enables the TV to connect with and enhance audio playback when paired with a compatible Sony soundbar or audio system. Regrettable, this feature is not supported with third-party audio equipment like your Yamaha receiver, Outlaw amplifier, or Polk in-wall speakers. As a result, the TV cannot serve as the center channel speaker within your current setup. For more information on Acoustic Center Sync, S-Center speaker input, and the list of compatible models, please visit: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00266459 Best regards, -Fred

  • QuestionDoes the BARVIA Mini LED QLED 4K UHD Smart TV support an external bluetooth keyboard?

    Asked by Jeff.

    • Answer Hi JeffK, Yes, the 75" Class BRAVIA 9 Mini LED QLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2024) is designed to work with Bluetooth accessories as it runs on the Google TV platform. While the TV can recognize and pair with most Bluetooth keyboards by going to Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Pair remote or accessory, Sony does not officially guarantee that all keyboard functions on every third-party model will operate as originally intended. For guaranteed full functionality, we recommend using a keyboard that connects via a dedicated USB wireless dongle. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
