A:Answer Other than some specific exclusive feature one might have over the other, if I flipped a coin for A80k or the C2, never seeing the TV not selected, I'd probably be quite satisfied. I find the Sony scaling engine to be better than the C2, but C2 is no slouch. I watch movies and documentaries. If I watched sports a lot, I'd do the Samsung, which I find the colors too hyped for the type of stuff I watch.
C2 would be equally good for movies, docs, that, after a lot of time staring at them in the stores.
Never saw a80j, so can't say a80k is worse... however, wife saw a80k for the first time in our living room and did the Kneau "woah." She never does this. And that was 1080i up-rezzed.
