IMO better to lay flay as torsion (twisting) is what will get you in trouble. Chances are you'd do ok, assuming you don't drive on some really bumpy roads. But no one but you know the conditions, so anyone's answer is speculation (even mine). I would keep it vertical, even if I had to go to uhaul or some rent a vehicle, or get a friend with pickup and gas him up. For me it's cheap insurance for $2.5k TV.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Customer, Keep the TV upright. Once the TV is wrapped, slide it into the box vertically. If you have a large-screen TV, have someone help you. Always keep a flat-panel TV in the upright position during moving or storage to avoid pressure on the lightweight glass that could cause permanent damage. I hope this helps! Jay
