“Just purchased a Sony 77" A80K. Hugely disappointed... virtually unwatchable during daytime with screen being too dark with little contrast. Cannot find anything in settings to correct this. Is their a way to maximize brightness for daytime viewing?”

This TV includes a light sensor that optimizes picture brightness to room conditions, boosting brightness in light rooms and reducing it in dark ones so you get the perfect view. You can configure various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size. The actual display may vary or some settings may not be available depending on your model/country/region and the content you are watching. Press the (Quick Settings) button on the remote control, then select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — the desired option. Hope this helps! Jay
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought the same set and have zero problems with the contrast. I would have a tech come out and check it out. Could be your set is defective. So sorry you are having these issues.
