I don't know if you have the original remote or the brand of TV you have. If you don't have the original, you can try by pressing the TV button, on the second row, then press the Options button to bring up the menu on the TV. Hope this works for you.

Please try again later.If the universal remote control is programmed with your TV and Cable box/Satellite receiver (if any) you have to make sure that the remote control is set to the right function. It would depend as well if the closed caption is enabled to the TV or Cable box/Satellite receiver. You may also try resetting the remote control. Follow the steps below. 1. Uninstall the batteries 2. Press all the buttons on the remote twice. 3. Install the batteries. 4. Set the remote to the correct function and try to disable the closed captions.
