- Answer I had a NEC TV that wouldn't work with any codes I could find. I bought this remote and "taught" it the commands from the remote that came with the TV and it works great now. That's actually why I bought this remote, because you can make it work with any device as long as you have the original manufactures remote. If you invest a little time in the setup this remote can do pretty much whatever you need it too. Definitely recommended.

QuestionCode for Samsung 4K Ultra HD Smart Hub TVHow can I program this remote for the Smart Hub (internet) feature of the Samsung 4K UHD 7100 TV? I can program it to turn the TV off and on but it won't learn any of the Smart functions. Code 00618 only turns the TV on and off. Has anyone had success program this remote for the Smart Hub? Thank you very much.

- Answer Hi, I was able to learn the hub function for my 4K Samsung TV. First turn off the TV and all the lights in the room (best done during the day!) 0. Point the two remotes at each other - one inch apart. 1. Press set button until led lights and keep it pressed. 2. Press the middle button between the arrow buttons. 3 Release both buttons 4. Enter 988 5, Press/release the TV button 6. Press/release target button (I chose "option") 7 Press/release the hub button on the Samsung remote 8. The set led should flash three times. 9. Press/release the set button. To program more than one button - repeat steps 6-8. You may be able to leave on the room lights, but any led or cfl lamp may confuse the universal remote. Enjoy your 4K TV!

Although not always, sometimes it might still be possible to program a remote control for a brand of product not listed in the manual. One option is to try using code numbers provided for other brands within the same product category. Since trying each individual code can be time-consuming, some remote controls (not all) provide a search option that can help you locate a usable code more quickly. If you have tried all possible codes without success, then the necessary frequency to operate the product may not be built into the remote control. NOTE: Sony does not guarantee 100% remote control compatibility with any third-party products. Dave

- Answer It is a Sony controller I hope it will. I have a Sony TV and Sony Blu-Ray player. I didn't have to either device into it, but the it has learning function to learn from older controllers to. I hope it will work for you, good luck.

- Answer I haven't tried it on the BOSE Solo Surround, but the package says it will work with surround systems. And it can learn from older controllers with its learning function.

- Answer The remote is preprogrammed to work with any Sony device. It can be programmed to control the Marantz receiver. There is no code, in the codes list, for the Runco projector. But, the remote can search for the manufacturer's code for the Runco. This of course does not guarantee that the device can be controlled by the remote.

QuestionDoes this universal remote learn from your original remote codes to use to function?I am having a hard time finding a UR that can work with my TV. It's been very frustrating buying online, then returning it when it doesn't work with my TV. Is this remote able to learn the codes from your existing remote? My TV is Proscan PLDED3273A-B if that helps.

- Answer This remote comes with a Codes List that has several codes for the Proscan TV's. It can also search for codes not listed in the Codes List.

- Answer Yes and no. If you have original remote, it can learn pretty much anything function from the remote. If you do not have original remote, you might loose some functionality but most main functions should work.

- Answer I don't know if you have the original remote or the brand of TV you have. If you don't have the original, you can try by pressing the TV button, on the second row, then press the Options button to bring up the menu on the TV. Hope this works for you.

- Answer There is a code list for an Onkyo Receiver but not a Onkyo amplifier. The remote is designed to find the right code for a device. I did have a problem using the codes provided for my Motorola cable box, so I used the Find Code function to program the remote and it worked. I don't know if will work on your Preamp. The only way to know is to try it.

- Answer It works for me with an LG blu-ray player, a Sony Surround sound and Vizio TV. It included most functions when I tried the codes provided. I believe you should be able to find a code that will work.
