Does this camera take video and have sound? null

Yes it records high def video and has sound. It works really well and the videos are great. If you want to do serious video recording and want great sound I would suggest getting an external mic with a wind screen that fits in the hot-shoe. It really helps the sound quality when recording outdoors, especially if it's a bit windy.
