The a6500 has a pop-up flash that works really well. You can set it to pop-up automatically or you can pop it up whenever you need it. Honestly, I rarely use it. The camera takes great pictures in low light. It is a great camera.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Shaun, depending on the lighting conditions you might need to use flash to brighten up your subject in the picture. Sony Alpha a6500 does have built in flash. You will need to press the flash button in the back of the camera to activate it and the built in flash will pop up from its position.
