I use mine perfectly fine with my note 4. Never had an issue.

I have a note 6 but not a 4. Love it. Clear, long lasting battery. All 3 of us have one. You need a screen protector.

I'm using with a Note 3. They work great. Just have to get them pugged in far enough. Some phone covers make pugging ear buds in difficult.
