QuestionWill this camera playback, record, and live stream over HDMI while externally powered? If so, how?

- Answer Hello Bart, the camera does output via a micro HDMI port. You can playback and output while recording. Streaming will not depend on the camera itself, you will need an external capture card connected to your computer to stream the incoming video signal from the camera.

- Answer The answer is no, unless your laptop has a video capture card in it to accept input from an HDMI connections. You'll need a video capture card to make this work.

QuestionDoes the HDMI mini out send full 4k 100mbs to a 4k monitor or external recorder? . I do understand that the HDMI shuts off while recording but what I want to do is record 4k hopefully 100mbs maybe 60 MBS at least thru my computer and black magic card

- Answer Hi scottyamour, the AX100 output 8-bit 4:2:2 up to 4K 30fps through the hdmi port. The recording setting will depend on the capture card or external recorder.

- Answer U can record the presentation and audio at the same time . If u want the audio clean (less noise.) u can use separate microphone .

- Answer No, The lens is not interchangeable , however it has a 62MM filter thread and you could use "plus magnification" filter. This camcorder allows you to overide and manual focus.

- Answer I successfully used this camera recently in a similar situation. Although the camera provides very good results using Auto Exposure, I anticipated that this situation would be a challenge and switched to Manual Exposure mode.

- Answer With the highest 4k resolution at 100Mbps, with all features turned on, 128G card would last 2 hours and 30 minutes. At 60Mbps, 4 hours and 10 minutes. (If you want to check other settings and what they do, do a search on "Sony FDR AX100 how many gigs per second" and look for the Sony online manual. )
