• It would play it as analog. Would still sound OK but not as good as digital.

The Blu-ray player will output the audio format detected from the source or settings selected through the menu, in this case we would like to recommend to check the specifications of the converter you will be using to verify if it will convert the signal for stereo only or if it will be capable for sending a different audio format. ~Jeannette
