• Both, it can take a wired network cable and it has 802.11N wireless networking too.

• Sony - BDPS3500 Blu-ray player must be connected via HDMI cable. However, it has built in Wi-Fi that can be used to access online content.

• It is primarily wireless but I guess if your modem has an HDMI port you could hard wire that way.

• Its wireless, but for superb quality, I have HDMI cable plugged in and it's awesome.
