QuestionNo video through Yamaha HTR-3067 Amp/ReceiverI purchased this player as I have upgraded to a Yamaha Surround sound receiver and Bose Cinemate Speakers. If I connect the HDMI cable directly to the TV, I get video and TV audio. Through the Receiver, I see a blip of the Sony logo, then nothing. Any ideas out there? Thanks.

- Answer You may want to try a higher quality cable. Often, the older cables are unable to handle the higher bandwidth required for a 4k player

QuestionDoes this upscale Bluray discs or only the streaming?Or does it only upscale Streaming media as it states in the product title? Also I posted a photo of the exact wording of the product description. In the product title, it says "Streaming 4k Upscaling", as in Netflix etc.. no where have I read the phrase "Bluray Playback Upscaling". Always difficult to decipher their wording, and now im starting to have my doubts.

- Answer Hi! This unit will also upscale Blu-ray movies, DVDs, and photos to near 4K quality. Also, it can upscale 2D to 3D content for playback. Thanks! ^Ron

- Answer Hello Sher, thank you for your message. Sony DVD players sold in the U.S.are coded to play Region 1 DVD discs. Many commercially-produced DVD movies contain regional coding to prevent the playback of the disc in a geographical area other than the one in which it was released. DVD movies released in one region may only play on DVD players manufactured for that same region. Blu-ray Disc® media does have region codes, but unlike DVD players, the region codes for Blu-ray Disc media use letters instead of numbers to indicate a particular zone or region where the discs can be played. -Oscar.

QuestionHow does the 2D to 3D conversion look?No one has posted anything about it yet. It states you will be able to watch 2D in 3D through this and of course your 3D TV/projector. SO is it a TRUE conversion is my question?

- Answer SEE MY OTHER ANSWER FOR 2D TO 3D CONVERSION.. Also , I did alot of research. THIS IS WHAT I THINK IS TRUE. [This is for active 3D TV's only]. Some TV's will drop the resolution below 1080p HD in 3D depending on the refresh rate, [60hz, 120hz,] because the rate is cut in half in 3D.[ alternating left and right displays ], and maybe no upscaling, and has lower brightness because of that.. My Sharp Aquos Q+ is 240hz and stays 1080p HD in 3D , has brightness compensation in 3D and has upscaling which may help. With Sony BDPS 6500 Blueray player, VERY IMPRESSIVE DISPLAY. DO SOME RESEARCH !!

- Answer As far as I know the picture size format should be changed through your TV options and not the Blu-ray player options.

- Answer Make sure CONTENT is encoded with digital 7.1 sound, not all are. Most sound is encoded in AC3, 5.1 dolby or dts. The player will only pass on the signal on to the surround system and the surround system must be equipped to decode 7.1 digital dolby or dts signal or above.

QuestionIs there a known heat issue with this product? The unit was not in use and noticed it stayed significantly warm and would not cool down until i turned off quick start feature. Seems kind of odd for a new unit, Anyone else have this problem?

- Answer My example runs realitivly cool to the touch with no heat noticed at all in stand by mode.
