A:AnswerWhen I take out my SD card from the camera and plug it into my computer and open Picasa all of the pictures download. Then I can check the "delete all" box on Picasa which wipes the SD card clean or I can delete individually. If you don't have Picasa on your computer you should get it.

A:AnswerNo. You can either put the memory disk into your computer if it has a slot for that or you can connect it with the cord that comes with the camera and transfer your pictures that way. No software required.
