You can record a conversation between the Digital Voice Recorder and your cellphone. However, the only way to record directly is to use the cell phone's speaker system and place the recorder close to it. There are recording devices available in the market that sit between your cell phone’s headset port and headset that will connect to the digital voice recorder's line input. .
