A:AnswerHello Hope4,
No. The Sony DVP-SR510H plays ONLY DVD. Being that it's made by Sony, I'm certain it plays DVDs well. But if you want to play Blu-Ray discs, my experience is that the Sony UBP-X800 is fantastic! I bought it at Best Buy in Los Angeles. They had a sale going back in fall of 2018. Actually, I bought 2 of them: one for me and one for my ex-wife as she had just bought at 55" big screen.
Not only does the UBP-X800 play regular Blu-Rays, it also plays the newer 4K Ultra HD Blu-Rays. They look gorgeous! Sound and picture quality is superb!

A:AnswerI don't think so. It does not claim to play Blue Ray - if it did I'm sure they would lay claim to that capability. I think you have to spend a little more money to get a blue ray player.
A:AnswerThere's nothing specific or special to my knowledge about this Sony DVD player, and it works great with my sisters 50 inch Samsung 4K Smart TV. It was $49, so no I don't think you need a special type DVD player.
A:AnswerHi there! No. This DVD player can only play 1 disc at a time. Check out the specifications for other details: https://docs.sony.com/release//specs/DVPSR510H_mksp.pdf

A:AnswerI found that using the stop button leaves the movie right where I was watching at the moment of the interruption. Then I hit play when I came back to the movie.
