    Asked by veryvincie.

    • Answer Hi veryvincie, Great question! The CRE-E10 streams calls and media to iOS devices running on iOS 13 and higher. Calling is not hands free, as the hearing aids do not have two-way microphones. You'll still need to initiate the call from your phone and talk into you phone for the other person to hear you. • QuestionHello, Do you think the OTC market will ever be allowed to sell hearing aids for people for severe hearing loss and tinnitus? The option available to my father via the VA are inadequate and unreliable.

    Asked by HearingHelp.

    • Answer Thank you for the great question, HearingHelp! OTC hearing aids are regulated by the FDA, which set limits on the volume output for consumer safety. Currently they are only for adults with perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. I'm sorry to hear that your father is struggling. It would might be best to talk to a hearing care professional at the VA or in the private sector to determine what options might best meet his needs. I wish him the best on his hearing healthcare journey! Regards, Erin
