Hello ProfeG! This unit comes with 2 type of timers only, you can set the timer to play back songs at a specified time which will be the ALARM option or you can also set the period of time after which your Walkman automatically enters standby mode and the screen turns off which will be SLEEP TIMER. ~ Jeannette
