Q: Will it read separate folders? I like to make playlists by artist/genre
A: Hi Rich! Yes it will read separate folders, you can access/play it from the Home menu then go to [Music] then select [Folder]. -Anthony

Q: How do you put songs on it?
A: You can use Windows Media Player, you don't need iTunes. It will also appear as a drive (like a flash drive) in the file manager so you can just copy mp3 or other audio/video files over to it.
