• It could be used for that purpose but it is more a music speaker than a soundbar. There is no separate subwoofer to deliver low frequency effects,

• yes, you can connect through Bluetooth, or use aux input, but from my experience, the Bluetooth has some lag, so the sound may not synch with the picture.
