Hi leonard, yes. This mic is fully compatible with the HDR-PJ670. It has a frequency response of 70 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The mic's orientation can be adjusted to up to 120 degrees so you'll have full coverage of the band you're recording if they're spread out on the stage. Thanks, -Mark
