QuestionDOGG Digital Audio 2003 800 Watt speakers I know I didn't get the best speakers but does anyone know if this will work with them? Are they even worth spending the money to set these up for my movies?

- Answer According to you the wattage of your speakers exceeds the wattage of the receiver, so you shouldn’t have a problem using the receiver to it’s full capacity ... still recommend asking an audio professional

QuestionDo I need an amplifier for Zone 2 sound? I was hoping to get bluetooth music out to my deck and set it up as Zone 2. Unfortunately I get hardly any volume which makes Zone 2 pretty worthless.

- Answer Hi Paul, Unfortunately, the STRDH790 doesn't support zone 2 functions. I'd suggest upgrading to our STRDN1080 to enjoy the multi-zone features. -Sam

QuestionFor the front input that is labeled “phones,” does that mean I can connect a microphone to it? If so, what type of cable can I use? If not, can I somehow connect a microphone to the receiver?

- Answer Hi Yousif, Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, you cannot connect a microphone to the unit. The "phones" on the front panel of the receiver is for headphones only. -Sam

- Answer It should be labeled on back panel, but you might check bottom just to be sure if it's not on back.

QuestionCould I replace the receiver portion of my 14-year-old Bose V10 Lifestyle surround sound system with this unit? Appears that the amplifier chips have blown, so no surround sound. It is connected to Spectrum cable and a LG smart TV.

- Answer Hi Eventreur7, Yes, you can. As long as your speakers are within the nominal impedance rating of 6 to 16 ohms then it should definitely work. -Sam

- Answer Not sure what kind of remote you are referring to, but this one comes with a remote that works fine. Also when i power off my direct tv box with the direct tv remote, it powers off the sony receiver as well. Hope this helps.

- Answer Hello, i currently have Bose 201's for surround, Bose's 401 for Front and Bose 501's for surround rear speakers. The sound is incredible and equally distributed. I have a Sony Core Series 10" 115W Subwoofer, sounds amazing and Sony Core Series 4" 2-way center speaker. The surround sound when watching movies is truly amazing with my speaker set up. I started with just the Bose 201's and 501's, with the center speaker and subwoofer, i just purchased the 85 inch Sony 900 tv and found some Bose 401's on ebay for a good price. Again the complete sound of Sony and Bose together is incredible as long as you set it up correct. Hope this helps.

- Answer yes I am currently awaiting for my klipsh sub to go with this receiver. Im using 12 gauge wires all around. IM not sure about the canary 42211 cable so I can't help you with that.

- Answer Hi Omuno, Unfortunately, you cannot add a soundbar to an AV receiver. A soundbar is an alternative to an AV receiver and not something you use in conjunction with an AV receiver. - Answer Not sure on your question if you say if it does turn on yes all electronics does turn on. If you are saying CEC features yes it has 2.1 hdmi with eARC meaning not remote works but also you have full 48gbps bandwidth with lossless audio

- Answer I hope this helps, i have Bose 201's 401's and 501's connected to this receive and the sound is amazing, i believe as long as you connect everything correct you will get the sound you want out of your Bose accoustimass 10.

- Answer Purchased this devices 4x weeks ago. Any standard (+)/(-) lead subwoofer (the kind with red and white wires exiting the housing) or banana plug sub will work. Or, if you do not have such, this device should be compatible with Bluetooth-enabled wireless subwoofer (although those are more expensive, energy-intensive, and may produce an audio lag).

- Answer I don't think so. I actually brought this receiver for home theater purposes. Its the best receiver for my Sony TV and the only way to get good sound was using this receiver.
