A:AnswerThe primary differences are the chassis and supported (non-primary) formats, for example, one supports SACD and the other does not. They are similar in function. I purchased the X800M2 for my home theatre, and am considering the 700 for another place in the house. The 700 looks like a quality product and is likely sufficient for most applications.
A:AnswerFrom Google search;
This solidly built home theater component will serve up Ultra HD Blu-ray discs with their full 4K resolution and wide, vivid color spectrum. The UBP-X800M2 also plays pretty much any other movie and music disc or digital file out there — and yep, it will even stream Netflix® in 4K.
A:AnswerIt does not. If your headphones are Bluetooth compatible, you can use it or you can hook the player through a receiver and use the RCA jacks on the receiver to get sound to your headphones.
A:AnswerTo me it depends on how many DVDs you will watch...it processes the sound and the picture (marvelously) that gets sent to your TV and the Denon.
A:AnswerI do not think so - only streaming service offered are Netflix, Amazon and YouTube - this is primarily a higher end 4K UHD BlueRay DVD player with Dolby vision support.

A:AnswerEven though, the X800m2 is a 4k bluray player it will work with a regular HD TV if the TV have an HDMI connector. This player only has HDMI outputs. If player is connected to a none 4K TV and It will convert 4k bluray to HD and DVD to HD to match your resolution of your TV. It only has 3 built in apps for streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube and it will stream to a none smart HD TV. It looks like you cannot add extra apps like VUDU or Disney TV…. It does not have a lot of choice for streaming. You will a different Bluray player support more apps or a Streaming device like ROKU, Apple TV or Fire TV... etc or any other streaming devices.
A:AnswerI'm pretty sure the answer is no. That's what the sales guy told me when I asked, and I think he also said that none of the devices Best Buy sells are region free. This actually makes sense if you consider the desires of the studios and distributors whose movies Best Buy also sells.
A:AnswerIt is supposed to. Sony who is very finicky regarding copy protection, does not explicitily describes it in the manual. I have not tried it myself, but I bought it with that purpose.
A:Answerwhile it looks like sony makes a region free version of this player, the sony players sold by best buy are " A 1 " units...standard USA region specific models. I have both the 800m2 and the 1100 and on the box it has region A for blurays..and region 1 for dvds.
