QuestionI have purchased an Yamaha Sound Bar (YSP-2700-). Can I Connect the Turntable (Sony PS-LX300USB RCA jacks) directly in the Phono (AUX 1) of the Sound Bar ?

- Answer Hi Clay, I have my turntable plugged into my computer with the USB cable, the AC power plug into the wall, and the audio video jacks plugged into my subwoofer. The volume is cranked and its not very loud through the system. But it does work. As far as using the sound bar, if you already have it give it a try it might work. If not contact Yamaha or Sony directly and they should be of better help. I will be doing so if I cannot get the volume issues resolved. Good Luck and sorry it took so long for me to get back with you. I got this record player on Christmas and just opened it up a few days ago. Best Wishes..John

- Answer Yes you can if your reciever has phono sockets, but first using the switch on the back of the turntable set it in the phono position if it only has aux sockets then use those but must first set the switch to line. The turntable has a phono stage (preamp) built in..

QuestionI've recently acquired a new Sony turntable pslx300usb, and I need to adjust the position of the automatic set down as the tone arm just goes to far into the music start on the disc, but I can't find an adjuster screw, how is the set down adjusted please?

- Answer Do not adjust set down until you've confirmed this is the issue. It sounds like you have the switch set to play smaller vinyl albums. When you put in a larger size vinyl, the needle arm just swings to the center of the record loudly scratching along the way. Flip the switch. Set down on this has been pre-tuned by Sony and is recommended that you return to them if this is the issue as your unit is defective in that rare case.

QuestionI have a pioneer HTP-072 receiver. tried hooking up to new Turntable (PS-LX300USB) but no sound. I have a CD player connected to receiver on rear with RCA cable. Is this were turntable should be connected and how can i have both?

- Answer You should have the turntable RCA leads plugged in either to phono sockets or Aux sockets on the reciever, make sure the switch on the back of the turntable is set to phono if using phono sockets or line if using aux sockets. Where have you got the turntable plugged into then? If you don't have phono sockets and only 1 set of aux sockets, then you'll have to plug in the CD or turntable separately as required for use...

- Answer Check the output switch on the back. If you don’t have a phone input on your sharp system, you need to use LINE out.

- Answer I purchased this turn table for my Uncle but he says he is extremely happy with it. Not sure what it would take to repair your old one but also take in to account eventually you may need to buy a new needle depending on the age.

- Answer The turntable comes with 2 male RCA jack outputs. I was able to hook these up to my surround sound system. I had to purchase some extensions as the ones on the turntable are short. Check the back of your sound system and see if there are available RCA inputs that you can use and if so you should be good.

- Answer This turntable has a built in pre amp to use with accessory line in functions or you can switch the pre amp off to use with phono line in functions The switch is located on the back of the turntable. Make sure you have the pre amp switch turned on for use with accessory line in functions. I have not used the built in turntable pre amp as I have it run into the phono line in my receiver. The turntable sounds great and is working as anticipated in this configuration.
