“I called Verizon and they advised me this phone, no matter GSM or CDMA will work with their network as long as I install the Sim card they just sent me. They advised me they were 100% certain of this. True or false and why?”

Probably true. I have been hearing lately that CDMA cellular providers now allow the use of unlocked GSM phones. Even CDMA phones have a slot for a SIM card, so I do not see any reason why this would not work. Fortunately, if there are any problems, Best Buy should let you return the phone.

No i woudnt risk it sony stated that only gsm networks are compatible
