I picked up my phone st store, the case is kind of destroyed and I'm pretty sure it has been opened before. I asked the assistant about it, she only told me that she didn't know. And i also feel the phone is kind of slow.Feel bad.

I'm a big fan of Sony products and i have used all the Xperia phones till now and this is the best. Still i don't understand why this Sony Xperia Phones are not demanding than other phones even their specifications are very cheap.Don't Listen to so called professional experts and reviewers about the phones they will push you to buy SA***** and IP**** and sign contract for 2 years.
AS per me the order of importance in a phone is the following (starting with the most important): A) It should be able to get a good signal from a cell tower. B) The WiFi should work well and be stable C) Camera D) Performance E) The build quality of the device and display. F) Battery.
All these you can get from these phones. I strongly recommend to take these unlocked and use whatever the carrier you like for less price.

I did not purchase the phone from Bestbuy. I initially purchased it but they delivered to a wrong address and made me wait for over 2 weeks ot get a refund. I bought it through ebay. Its the 64GB model F8332, wanted to share my review. I bought the Forest Blue model 64gb Dual Sim model F8332. The particular model I have was for Hong Kong and included the Quick Charger corresponding to the region. I had a adapter included to make it compatible for North America, which works absolutely fine.
In the box: My model came with the phone, documentation, USB Type C cable, Quick Charger, Adapter for North America, basic set of headphones from sony (The model F8331 usually doesn't include it).
Experience: I have been using my phone for over a month now. It is really good having migrated from my Xperia Z3. The 3 standout features are
1) The Display -Excellent with wide viewing angles, ample back light with a good light sensor to help you read clearly even in sunlight when you have ambient light sensor on. The gorilla glass 4 gives me a slight peace of mind that it wont scratch easily. You can go for tampered glass screen protectors (Find ones which are curved on the sides), but I decided not to go for it. I paid around $40 extra to get the SCTF10 Touch cover. It's expensive, but offers really good protection and is available in colors of the phone. It is super light and doesn't add bulk to the phone. The touch cover is really good. I hardly open the cover unless I have to do intensive typing like answering emails OR for playing games. For simple replies to text messages, going through twitter n facebook, calling etc. you can keep the touch cover on and do your daily tasks. The phone lets you adapt to the touch cover with appropriate level of sensitivity and light settings with the cover on. I highly RECOMMEND getting the SCTF10 even though it is a bit expensive.
2) Camera quality: The biggest upgrade coming over from Xperia Z3 i the camera. Snappy, a lot better low light performance and manual controls make it as really excellent camera. Look for unbiased reviews on youtube and you will find that the Xperia XZ is among the top 3 smartphones in terms of camera and picture quality with the Galaxy S7 and iPhone 7. All 3 have their pros and cons, but overall I am really happy with the camera. Check my instagram page to get a glimpse (@intellix). I love shooting the light trails with the manual shutter speed control. Also selfies are a lot better now in low light with support for gestures (My Xperia Z3 was horrible in low light). The color balance in images is neutral (instead of being too warm and punchy) which I prefer since I like to customize my images. Sony claims in their advertisements that the colors are true to life and you should use #nofilter which seems to be really the case. I just love the camera as of now. Although it doesn't have a 2x zoom like the Iphone 7 plus, overall the images taken with the manual mode are really nice with all the customization options available. The auto mode is pretty good as well specially in daylight. It will suffer a bit in low light. I would recommend users to use the scene selection mode in manual mode with low light portraight or twilight mode for low light scenarios. Also play with the shutter speed. By reducing the shutter speed just a little bit, images turn out to be 10 times better even in dark. To summarize, the CAMERA is at par with the ABSOLUTE BEST in all conditions.
3. Audio quality: In general like previous Sony phones, the audio quality is excellent. Turn ON the DSEE HX for getting High Resolution audio if you are using wired headphones. It is an absolutely splendid experience. Wireless music is at par as well. The blutooth audio settings give you the option to select between quality and performance, letting you choose whether you would prefer continuous connectivity VS lossless quality when blutooth device is moved away from the recipient. It is a good option to have.Overall I have tried the iphone, Moto G and previously a lot of sony phones. I simply think that the Music app of Sony(Previously known as Walkman) is the best of the lot. In terms of volume of the speaker, the speaker volume is a lot louder than the Z3 but it could have been louder when compared with the iphone 7, galaxy s7 or other flagship phones. Overall I am not disappointed since I don't use the speaker phone often. The audio output from the 3.5mm jack on external systems is really good now. Previously we have witnessed problems with audio output on Sony flagships.
Overall:
The dual sim option where the 2nd slot is a hybrid sim slot for microsd card or nano sim is a really important option for users like me who travel a lot. I tend to use the 2nd sim slot when I travel internationally while for day to day use, I usually keep my 64GB MicroSd card for my photographs. The 64gb internal memory is a big boost from 16GB models that sony produced earlier. Another nice gesture is the option to move data of the apps to SD card which I believe only Sony still supports, although I may be wrong. It proved to be a life saver time and often when I used my 16GB Xperia Z3. The fingerprint scanner is snappy and accurate. I just love it when folks take my phone and get confused as to where the fingerprint reader is ..lol
So, I'd definitely recommend this phone. Go for it. You will not be disappointed.

This phone is pretty quick considering it has a down-level processor.
So kudos to Sony for making it agile. The screen is beautiful, the build quality is ALL Sony and the battery life is pretty darn good.
Three problems though -
Too much bloatware and a strange backdoor update system of Sony specfic apps.
Finding a good case to protect this thing is tedious and the choices are very limited. So be wary of this before jumping in.
This thing hasn't received the OTA Nougat 7.1.1 update. It's still stuck on 7.0. What a joke. Even the X Compact got the update months ago.
Get off the dime Sony and show this device some loving support
for crying out loud. The device price demands it!

Great Alternative to Apple and Samsung

Great product for those who don't want to follow the crowd with the same boring black or white iPhone or Samsung product. Screen looks great and Sony's android interface doesn't bloat or slow things down. All applications I didn't want I could easily disable.
Haven't had any issues with this phone in the several months I've had it. I switched to the European ROM very easily to get the fingerprint sensor working, absolutely no drawback to doing this.
Does it have the processing speed to handle the newest graphic intense mobile games? Perhaps not, but it handled the few casual games I have on it (think PvZ2, etc) very quickly. Can handle multiple tabs open in chrome and other programs open at the same time,
Sure would be nice to see Sony make something at a bit more competitive price to provide a real alternative to the latest boring Apple and Samsung models, but time will tell. Lots of compliments too from coworkers and strangers alike who often seem surprised to see a phone they don't see everyday. Highly recommended especially as the price drops.

Replacement to my Z2 didn't disappoint

Always have been a user since Ericsson phones. Their build quality and conservative ascetics always attracted me. This was used to replace my venerable and 2.5 year old Z2 that never let me down. Only reason to replace was the old Z2 was a 4th replaced rear glass that was cracked, a 20% lower battery life due to normal age, and a bit of boredom for something new. Performance was NEVER an issue. The XZ is not cheap by any means but it's a flagship nevertheless and awards the user exclusivity.

I bought my phone during black Friday for 25% off new. The phone is decent. Its got everything a phone needs. Battery life is the same with any phone when you're using it. Pretty decent Droid. Camera is amazing.
The down side to this phone is after market support is bad. You drop this phone n crack, prepare to buy a new one right after.

First off, this phone is BEAUTIFUL. holding this thing in your hand feels like you're holding a million bucks, literally. Camera is superb, nothing short of phenomenal. I really loved this phone and it sucked ending up having to return it. Let me explain why:
For some reason, the stock messaging app (which happens to be the Sony messaging app) kept crashing Everytime I received a picture text message (MMS). As soon as I would tap on the conversation thread to view it, a message would appear that read "messaging keeps stopping" then the app would crash immediately after that message. This could have easily been remedied by just installing a different messaging app from the play store but If I'm dropping 500 bucks on a phone, I shouldn't have to do that if Sony's own apps worked correctly. And this is why I'm rating this phone 4 instead of 5 stars, and also why I returned the device for a full refund.

The Xperia XZ is loaded with tons of great features; I researched on gsmarena before purchasing. I most enjoy the clutter- and crapware-free Android environment, which is easily as fast as other flagship 8-versioned phones.
The camera and app are very smooth, low light / contra light performance is sometimes inconsistent but the gallery app for me is the best-- instead of a bunch of gimmicky filters it is fast and to the point. Google Photos is also improving and the XZ phone here gets the best wifi signal of any device I own.
I was most surprised by the suggestion on the desktop to use Xperia Transfer. It is a free app that really impressed me with the ability to pull all data... call logs... messages... apps... videos... you name it, from ANY phone! I was able to get everything from a broken Galaxy S4 and LG G3 back on the XZ here... it was an amazingly easy experience.
The only thing that would make me pick another phone is if there was some particular brand case that I had to align myself to... or if I had to have wireless charging (which in no way could charge as fast as the included USB-C charger.)

This older model phone has a camera that is better than the current versions. It was built to be waterproof although it is no longer advertised that way. I was replacing my approximately 4 year old Z2. I read the features of the current flagship phones and was disappointed with them. Found this instead. I use my phone in the pool and the ocean so waterproof is important. One vaguely annoying upgrade is that it uses usb-c so all of my micro usb stuff is non compatible. I do like the usb-c much better it's just that I've already purchased so much micro usb stuff. I waited for the Z2 to be released even though it meant not having a cell phone for a few weeks. Now I'm just as excited I got my xz before the last clearance ones are all gone. I liked the Z2 so much I never wanted to replace it, but I almost feel like I got the same phone. Sony makes the best phones! I hope there is an equivalent when this one needs replaced. I would prefer more than 32gb internal memory but you can use high capacity micro sd cards. I would also prefer a battery that can be switched out. These are the only things that I would change.

I love this phone. I didn't want to have payments when my Note4 died so I read up on the Xperia line. I first got the XA but found the xZ was waterproof and could do remote PS4 play. The camera is superb and the screen is very clear. Android 7 is very responsive. I imagine the premium is even better.

I really wanted to like this phone. I was coming from an Iphone SE and Iphone 5 to this. I am getting tired of apple's lack of creativity and customization. Sony phones are well rated for their quality in both hardware and software. I can say this phone is very well built. The software works very well and is patched quickly. However there is no fingerprint scanner and the flashlight controls are harder to get to with one hand in a pinch. I thought I could live without the finger print scanner, however combined with how hard it is to get to some quick features, I just couldn't quite like this phone enough to keep it. I returned it in about 10 days.
