  • QuestionHow many watts per Chanel.

    Asked by Myfirestick.

    • Answer Hi Rich, thanks for your question. We do not disclose wattage and here is why. Over the years we have seen posting such numbers results in a spec contest. Specs, and yes even watts can be measured in different ways. For example receivers, take a look at the wattage, then see number of speakers driven, and distortion rates. All of which vary greatly. Also, watts do not tell you how efficient the drivers are, or any of the components that help the speaker sound great. We strive to make the best sounding speaker, that feel like you've dived into the front row of the concert, produces powerful deep sound designed to make your heart tremble, and has a long battery life. All of the things our customers have told us really matter to them. Whether you want to host an epic party or enjoy your favorite movie or TV show, this speaker will give you the experience you need. The XV800 provides a powerful, room-filling sound, whatever you’re listening to and wherever you’re listening from. • QuestionHow many watts in this speaker?

    Asked by Mikey.

    • Answer Hi Mikey, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, the wattage of this speaker is not a public specification that we disclose at this time, and here is why. Watts tells an incomplete story when judging a speaker’s performance. To be more accurate you would need to know the watts, the dB rating, and frequency range (Hz) of all the speakers in the unit. Also, the distortion (THD) rate and the number of speakers driven for the rating of watts presented on the box. Yes, those things are not standardized. Then do some math, and you will get a general understanding of the loudness and range of the speaker in question. Then do that for all the different companies and you could compare with specs, though even if they were equal, they may sound different due to processing. At Sony we try to give you the absolute best sounding speaker, that has all the features our customers have told us really matter to them. Hope this helps! Whether you want to host an epic party or enjoy your favorite movie or TV show, this speaker will give you the experience you need. The XV800 provides a powerful, room-filling sound, whatever you’re listening to and wherever you’re listening from. So, don’t compromise, play music loud and clear or enrich your movies and TV with the XV800. Regards, Sam

  • QuestionHow many watts is this particular speaker?

    Asked by Mish.

    • Answer Hi Mish, thanks for your query. Unfortunately, we do not disclose how many wattages our Bluetooth speaker outputted because watts tell incomplete story when judging a speaker’s performance. A high wattage in a Bluetooth speaker does not always indicate better sound quality. While a higher wattage means that the speaker can handle more power and produce louder volume levels, it does not necessarily indicate better sound quality. Other factors such as speaker design, driver size, and frequency response significantly determine the speaker's overall performance and sound quality. A well-designed speaker, with high-quality drivers and a balanced frequency response across the entire audio spectrum, will sound better than a speaker with a higher wattage but poor design or low-quality drivers. Hope this helps. Whether you want to host an epic party or enjoy your favorite movie or TV show, this speaker will give you the experience you need. The XV800 provides a powerful, room-filling sound, whatever you’re listening to and wherever you’re listening from.
