Buy these!!! Sony MDRRF985RK Wireless RF Headphones. I purchased these for my dad, who is now older. These are very comfortable, easy to set up and perfect for the scenario you are looking for. I did my research on this before buying these. These headphones are worth every penny! I hope this helps with your decision.

Purchase a headphone set with a transmitter that connects to the TV and sends signal to the headphones.

This model is compatible with a tv, as long as your tv is Bluetooth capable

Check TV for Bluetooth capabilities and if so any of them should work just check the distance they can receive a signal.
