• You have to hold the power button for 7 seconds (until the headphones say, "pairing"). Then they should show up on your device as MDR-ZX220BT, if not then they are either defective or incompatible.

• Try turning the airplane mode on and off again then try it again with the headphones, worked for me

• The iPad Pro would need to use one of the four Bluetooth profiles: HFP, HSP, A2DP or AVRCP.
