I am sure it would but you would be covering the controls. Yes it has a remote but sometimes you want to get to the onboard controls.

I would not do it, better idea is to get a set of speakerbar brackets and mount the soundbar to the tv with the soundbar on top of the tv.

No. It is not designed to support any TV. I put mine in front of the tv set
