“Is the optical output of the LG 42SL80/85 and LG 47SL80/85 operational? If so, what PCM format? I need linear PCM to feed my Insignia NS SB316 soundbar recently purchased at BestBuy. LED red light is visible at end of optical cable, but no Joy.”

Way to technical for me. I just know that it has a fuller richer sound than the TV speakers.
