“I don't understand all this technology! I have an old cd player with larger speakers (maybe the size of a big shoe box). Are there multiple hook ups? Can I hook up my stereo, as well as a TV into the sound bar? Thanks !”

It does have the ability to switch between 4 different sources. Source 1 is Digital optical, so if your TV or stereo has that type of output, you can connect it there. Read your TV book carefully, I thought mine had it, but it turned out its optical connection was an older type that wouldn't connect to the bar. Source 2 is for a 3.5mm, headphone type, cable (it comes with the bar). It just plugs int the headphone jack on the TV (or stereo). That's what I used on my TV. It works great. But, like a normal set of headphones it cuts off the speakers on the TV (I don't know if that happens using Digital Optical, but I assume it would). Source 3 uses the old Right (red), Left (White) Audio cables (also included). Source 4 is the Blue-Tooth connection. It lets you connect the bar to your blue-tooth capable devices to listen to music or other audio output. Now-days, I wouldn't doubt that smart TVs could use source 4, but I don't know that they can. When you want to switch the source, you just push the button on the remote control, or on top of the sound bar.
