- Answer On the official website, it says the collectors (Constellation Edition) is only available for Xbox series or Steam. From my understanding if you buy the "Windows Edition" on BestBuy you will be getting a steam key. Called their cu service and they confirmed.

- Answer As long as it says "Coming soon", it means that they are still dropping more inventory here. You just have to catch it when it does. I recommend using something like hotstock to watch for a drop. It wont be totally sold out until the button says Sold Out.

- Answer You had to get lucky and camp the site hoping that you can get in line for a pre-order. That is at least what I had to do to get one, even then at first It was not working properly. Now it says "Sold Out" now and I am not sure it will come back in stock. Check back on release date and hope for the best.

QuestionI have a stock alert waiting to see when this comes back in stock every time but I am still getting an issue when entering my shipping address and it is not available for in store pick up. How are we supposed to pre-order and check out with this system :(

- Answer This was the same issue I was having when checking stock after seeing an alert, it was greyed out saying "coming soon". I was able to work around it by clicking the stock alert link inside of the email which redirected me and instead of saying "coming soon" It said "Pre-order" in yellow so I was able to get in line for one because of it. As of 9/1 I see it is "sold out" I do not believe this was an item intended for in store pickup as I had no choice and had to have it shipped to me.

- Answer You will have to wait. The system that bestbuy uses for sales physically does not allow for games to be sold before the specific release date marked (in this case Sept. 1) even if it technically releases the day before at your local time.

- Answer No one knows and Bethesda isn't confirming it, so it's unlikely. The Standard Edition will be free on Game Pass and is an XBox Play Anywhere title. That version is pre-loadable now, and will be playable on August 31st.

- Answer It was stocked intermittently on 8/31 but you had to be constantly looking at the website every 30mins to an hour and get lucky to get in line. I want to say there should be another restock on Starfield's actual release date but I am not 100% certain of that.

- Answer I've never received a notification in the two decades that I've been using Best Buy's website. Your best bet is to sign up for in-stock alerts through a different service. Nowinstock and hotstock are free. There are a lot out there. I personally use the hotstock app and pay for the premium service on occasion, but the free version is typically fine.

QuestionIs there a difference using Steam or Xbox PC Game Pass for Starfield? Im old. Getting back into gaming for self therapy. Havent gamed in 7yrs. Figure i ask seasoned smarter gamers. One more, will Starfield come out on Mac? (gamers still joke on mac?)

- Answer The differences are listed in the other questions. Long story short, if you buy the Steam version, you can only play it on Steam/PC as they are not compatible with each other and likely never will be. If you buy the XBOX version of the game, you can install it on your PC and XBOX. To install in on your PC, you use the XBOX WINDOWS STORE APP and launch it directly through there as well. There are guides on how to launch WINDOWS STORE games through Steam, but that's independent of this answer. TLDR: If you want to play on PC and CONSOLE and only pay once, you MUST buy the XBOX version of the game.
