• If the device is WIN-10 based (and not an old version of Windows like Win-XP) and the device has a USB then this will work without issues.

• No. This kit is for installing the smaller 2.5" drives in desktops which are built to take 3.5" drives. Laptops and notebooks are already set to install a 2.5" drive. No need for an adapter.
