  • QuestionMy son walks to work and it is about 5 miles but all uphill... He's 160 pounds... Does it have enough power to go uphill

    Asked by Pearl.

    • Answer If a big hill then no it won't make it up but if a small hill then it should as long its not a mile long straight up and if so you might be walking half of it, if its a low grade hill then it will make it but barely, these are made for more of a flat ground type ride, the good thing is that he could possibly ride it halfway there which would save him time on walking, then ride it all the way home down hill and get home much faster. Take your car and test the way he goes and put your car in neutral with nobody around and take your foot off the brake on the hill and see if it picks up speed going backwards and if it does then it's pretty steep hill but if it slowly starts to roll then it's probably not that bad of a hill and it's a 50-50 chance he'll make it up to hill, if your car needs alot of gas to make it up the hills, then this won't make it, just beware and read all returns on if you decide to buy 1, some places won't take back stuff used but other stores will and have 90 day returns, I look for the longer return because if something breaks then you have to ship it to the company on your money and pay for it all except the REPAIRS but if you have that longer return and it breaks, then you take it back and you get your money back or another 1 and the store returns it to the company with others every monrh, thats what i have learned by friends working at such places and directed me to go to another store and buy because of those reasons, thats mt own view. I bought my son a Schwinn 350 electric bike some 10 years ago and the chain ended up breaking but it still rocks in the replacement battery only cost $21 online in a chain is $5 and that holds 210 pounds and has baskets on it and it does fold up just like this and it goes 10 miles at 15 miles an hour and it has a seat on it that goes up and down front and rear brakes and I used it with my kids at the campground and took the seat pole out and put a wagon handle and stuck the seat pull through the handle of the wagon and gave my nieces and nephews and my youngest son wides around the campground by pulling them in a wagon and it would last all day long that's how much fun we had and now you wonder why the chain broke and I weigh 175 pounds and a wagon wait about 20 but lots of fun and we still have it. Just ordered the stuff to use again and it still charges, that cost $299 back then so prices arent bad, they great to have for parking in a huge parking lot for college kid's that could get to that school in 3 minites instead of 10 or 15 minutes of a walk, also some park 4 blocks away from work and must walk because thetes parking only there and these come in handy for that but buy a lock because they will get stolen if you stop at a store to get something. Also you can buy some backets and zip tie them to this bike if they dont come with it, my Schinn bike came with 1 and my older son would go down to the farm that was a mile away and get corn on the cob and some tomatoes and onions and a few green peppers, he was 12 year's old and felt like a big shot, some people gave us a hard time over his age but he worn his helmet like your suppose to so no big deal and we knew it was a 15 minute round trip with a line there on the side of the road up in New Hampshire and it was all freshly picked, i had a cousin that stayed there for the summer and got a job there at the farm, he would take back what wasn't sold that day and give to others at campground, sometimes it was a trash bag full or a half bag full, we were seasonal campers from 1971 and still camp there, we have 3 different sights and 1 is my 75 year mother's and another is my 2 cousins that share there's and i had 1 but it got FLOODED in 2010 and i was in the lower half of campground, i ended up with 30 inches of water in my trailer that was 100% INSURED, thank god. Hope this helps out. Alot said.

  • QuestionI just brought this bike and notice the air value is on the screw on the back tire. It won't allow me to put air in the tire. Is this a problem with just this bike or a general problem with all of this model type?

    Asked by Cris.

    • Answer Let the air out of the tire . Then move the valve in a position so that you have access to the valve, you may need to move the tire a bit as well. hope this works for you . I'm sure it will.

  • QuestionDoes riding the ebike require good balance - my balance is fair to good but not great

    Asked by eliz.

    • Answer Balance is essential and riding the SwagCycle takes some getting use to due to the SwagCycle not having the typical pedals like a standard bicycle. When the handlebars on the SwagCycle are turned, your feet move with it. With a little practice, it should become second nature. Hope this helps.
