How much weight can it handle null

Manufacturer says 250 pounds but its engine broke when I let my friend who is 200 pound ride it. Its speed dropped to 5-7 mph & started making loud noises. Do not buy Swagtron scooter. I’ve tried 3 different models & I weigh 139 pounds but each one broke in 1-2 months.

The weight capacity is 250 pounds.
