“So you are saying to remote view I have to hard wire an Ethernet cable to the router and it will not work via wifi to the router? Would it be possible to add another router to my computer(current router is on the other side of the house) and connect to it”

As long as the unit has an Ethernet cable connected to the back with access to an internet network that you can have the unit remotely accessed using the application or your desktop computer.
