However they work independently without the need to be connected to a DVR/NVR system. A:AnswerHi Dharmender. Yes, if you wish to you could replace the hard drive with a larger capacity one, up to a maximum of 6TB. We would recommend purchasing a surveillance-grade drive from a reputable brand as these NVR's do a large amount of read and writing each day.
