• I have a Samsung Smart TV and the Tablo app is available on mine but what I've read is that not all Samsung Smart TVs can get it. It depends on how old the TV is. I don't know about the Sony TVs. Their website (tablotv.com) list all the compatible devices. Hope this helps!

• If Tablo app is on or can be loaded to the smart tv, then yes it will work. If Tablo isn't or can't be loaded, then no it will not work. Tablo does have a unit connected via hdmi, but it is only two tuners.
