The other one does not , but if you are worried about the keyboard backlighting messing with your battery I charged it once when I first got it and that was a month ago and I just now had to put it on the charger for the second time and I always leave my keyboard key lights on.

The Insignia was on sale for $12.00 and designed for an old iPad Air . It works perfectly on my new iPad Air 2. You should buy an Apple TV. It's a steal right now for $69.00.
