I bought an aftermarket adapter for RCA cables for the s535 and experienced the same problem. The issue is that it’s not known which ring on a given mini plug is assigned to which cable. Try switching the plugs at the end of the adapter so that they no longer match. For example on my adapter cable plugging red into yellow and white to white enabled R/L audio and video with no hum. BTW, TCL still supplies an adapter cable with the 2020 Six series and supplied an adapter cable for the 2019 Five series. They should have charged us all an extra $1.00 and supplied an accurate cable for the 2020 Five series so customers wouldn’t have to kludge together solutions for aftermarket cable adapters as many of us have been forced to do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It sounds like the red, white, and yellow are not in the right plug ins. red and white are the sound and the yellow is the picture. Check the DVD player and make sure the colors are matching.
