It offers news, movies and music. The sound when compared with price performance is excellent. This is used in a bedroom at our house so that we don't have to listen to the shallow sounded speakers with our new thin TV. More than adequate for the price...its solid. If you don't use the remote that came with your TV (I use the cable company receiver remote) you will need to use two remotes....but it isn't a big issue with us. Geaux Tigers!
